Holdens sports performance hero SS model and status leader Calais were selected to debut VE Commodore at an event in Melbourne. The all-new WM series Statesman and Caprice flagship models, representing Australias most successful locally designed export cars last year, were also shown in an historic double reveal. Commodores design theme is enabled by an increased wheelbase.

The striking new VZ series Monaro CV8 sports coupe is the most powerful mainstream Holden ever produced. Its five.7 litre Gen III V8 engine receives a boost in peak power to 349 bhp & now develops 369 lb-ft of peak torque, on call over a wider rev range. Powertrain refinements deliver a more forceful launch feel, more mid-range torque as well as a sharper sports character, balanced by an upgraded braking....
